Method, Precautions & Benefits of Sheetakari(Cooling) Pranayama || Sheetakari(Cooling) Pranayama karne ka Tarika, Savdhania aur Fayde [2020-21]
Cooling pranayama brings coolness to your body and mind. Its effect is quite normal for Sheetali Pranayama, but both pranayams are different and should be done according to your need. Like Sheetali Pranayama, the ancient text about Sheetkari Pranayama is written in "Hatha Yoga Pradeepika".
Method of performing Sheetakari(Cooling) Pranayama
1. Sit in any comfortable meditative posture. Close your eyes and relax the whole body. Hands can be placed on the knees in chin or gyana mudra.
2. Add the teeth lightly, but keep the lips apart so that if someone stands in front, then they will see your teeth.
3. You can keep the tongue flat or bend over the upper part of the mouth.
4. Breathe slowly and deeply through the teeth.
5. When inhaled, close the mouth. Keep the tongue as it was in the beginning.
6. Exhale slowly through the nose in a controlled manner.
7. This is a cycle. Do 9 cycles.
Precautions in Sheetakari(Cooling) Pranayama
1. If you have sensitive teeth, short teeth or no teeth, then Sheetali Pranayam should be practiced instead of Sheetakari Pranayam.
2. Do not practice cold pranayama if you have low blood pressure or any respiratory disease.
3. If you have heart disease, do not stop breathing in the practice of this pranayama.
4. Do not do cold pranayama if you have chronic constipation.
5. In general, do not do this pranayama in winter or in cold environment.
Benefits of Sheetakari(Cooling) Pranayama
